Preface
Throughout our webshop’s journey, custom products have always played an important role. After all, who wouldn’t want to show off their own sona in everyday life?
We love fursuiting, but there isn’t always enough time or energy for it. That’s where our customizable products come in handy. You can wear a furry t-shirt or hoodie anytime, anywhere, and our bandanas can become creative accessories in the right paws. You can also make your dull everyday life a bit more colorful with our stickers, which can go on your laptop, suitcase, phone, or even your door. Where you place them is only limited by your imagination.
All of this sounds great, but many people still wonder: how do I even get started? We’re constantly working to make the process as simple as possible. So let’s get to the point: here’s how it works.
Sniff Around!
A good shirt starts with a good design!
One great way to get that is artist hunting.
Depending on your exact needs, there are three ways to go about it:
Draw it yourself
If you can draw and have the time, simply create your desired design, or send us one of your previous artworks. Before you start working on it, it’s a good idea to send us a sketch so we can help avoid any potential issues with the concept.
Make sure to follow the requirements, as ignoring them may affect the final product quality. If you’re unsure about anything, keep reading.
Ask a friend
Art is quite common in our community, so you probably already know an artist. When asking them to create your design, it’s recommended to share the requirements with them to ensure everything goes smoothly.
If you’d specifically like one of our existing designs in a YCH way, feel free to request it directly from us.
Requirements
Early on, we ran into quite a few production issues, so we’ve collected the key things to watch out for so you can learn from our mistakes and avoid repeating what we got wrong.
- Resolution: use 300 DPI at the intended size (for example, on shirts, 26 cm corresponds to 3071 pixels)
- Edges: if you leave semi transparent pixels, the printer will apply white underneath them, so it is best to disable anti aliasing in those areas
- Size: for textile prints, our standard is 26 cm height (3071 px) and 28 cm width (3307 px), while our stickers usually have a longest side of 6 cm (709 px)
- Category: we only use designs that are legally allowed to be used and are not AI generated
- Approval: it is best to send us your idea, sketch, or final artwork as early as possible, as we may decline any design, especially for legal or ethical reasons
Commission one of our artists
As kind and wholesome as the furry fandom is, like anywhere else, there are scammers. We can ensure that your design is handled by an artist who is skilled, available, and fully trusted by us.
On our Discord server, you can browse their work and choose freely. There are dedicated channels for browsing, asking questions, and placing orders. If there is an art style on the webshop that caught your attention, the artist’s name is shown next to the brush icon on the product page. If you’re unsure who to choose, just let us know and we’ll help.
Alternatively, you can also contact us on Telegram, or via the webshop’s live chat by clicking the speech bubble at the bottom.
Production time
There is no fixed production time, as it depends on the complexity of the request. It’s not the same whether you just need to put a provided design onto a stock T-shirt, or, say, source a bright purple thigh-high sock from who knows where.
We can only order prints in bulk, on film rolls, so we need to gather enough designs first, which usually happens about once a month. It also depends on whether we have blank products in stock. These typically take around three days to arrive, although we prefer ordering them together to save on shipping costs.
If you need something by a specific deadline, make sure to let us know in advance.
Pricing
Pricing is always based on the customer’s needs, but if you provide your own design, the final product usually does not cost more than the listed webshop version. If you commission one of our artists, the artwork purchase is arranged between you and the artist, and their price is added on top of the base product cost.
For sticker orders, a minimum quantity may apply depending on the date you would like it.
Closing thoughts
So far, there has not been a situation we could not solve together, so feel free to share your wildest ideas with us.
